Welcome to the historic village of Bicton, or Bichetone, as it is listed in the Domesday Book, published in 1086 for William the Conqueror:

Bicton, situated west of Shrewsbury, consists of some 400 dwellings with a population of approximately 1100 people.

In 2025, some 939 years after the Domesday Book, Bicton entered the ‘Best Kept Village Competition’ and was rewarded with a ‘Highly Commended‘ Certificate.  Congratulations are due to all involved with the project.
